New Block-of-the-Month starting in June--Enroll now!

So,.. Faye & I met tonight and came up with a game plan for our NEW BOM project. We will make 1 block each month for 12 months from the book "Quilts from El's Kitchen" ($28 value) by Elenor Burns---one of my very favorite TV Sewing Personalities--she is amazing! This is how it's going to work. You will pay $50 the first month,you will receive the Pattern Book, Layer Cake & 4 yards of coordinating background fabric. Each month you will come to class and pay $15. This fee covers instruction and pays a little each month on the "KIT" that you purchased on the first month. I will choose a block from the book that we will make. You will need to bring your own machine and "notions" (thread, rulers, scissors ext.) or you can pay $20 and use my machine and notions. At the end of the year you will have made 12 beautiful blocks to create a "Sampler" quilt. There are many choices of layer cakes to choose from. By using the layer cake you will have the freedom to make your own fabric choices each month. Class dates for June are 6th, 8th & 13th from 4-6ish. February's Kids Class Choices

KIDS Classes-I have openings this coming Saturday (20th) 9:00-11:00. Class project choices are a tissue box cover with applique shape or you can start a crazy-strip quilt which will be a four month project (see previous post). For new students who haven't made this cute bag, it's also an option. Message me if you'd like to register your child.

Would your child like to display a handmade item in the Mecosta County Fair this summer? I'm offering this quilting project for those of my students who would like to make the Jelly Roll Crazy Quilt. Our goal would be to make 2 (possibly more for advanced students) blocks at each monthly class, assemble quilt in May, tie & finish in June. Your cost would be the same each month ($20). Your child will choose their own Jelly Roll colors. Message me asap if you are interested.
