Adult Quilting Class

Tuesday March 18th from 4:30-6:30 during our "Chocolate & Stitches" Adult Quilting Class you will learn how to make a Pieced Crazy Quilt. You will complete (4) 10 inch blocks that you can use for a Table Quilt or add more for a Crazy Quilt.
The class is $20 and all material is included for the 4 blocks. I have machines available if you need to use one.

March's Kids Class Project

Hello Friends!

During our Kids Classes in March, we will be making an Original-Pillowcase. My students will be able to choose their own coordinating fabrics and take home a completed project!

The class dates for March are:

Saturday  March 8th- 9-11am

Thursday, March 13th- 4:15-6:15

Saturday, March 15th- 9-11am

Thursday, March 20th- 4:15-6:15

Cost for class is $20
This includes class instruction; machine rental; project material & snack

Would you like to help honor the brave Men & Women who serve our Country?

You are invited to take part in the First Annual “Honoring Our Military”  Quilting Bee, which will be held at Vicky’s Quilting Studio (Vicky Bowman) just North of Big Rapids.

The Mission of this Quilting Bee will be to make Quilts that will be donated to the local School Districts to present to a Veteran during their Veteran’s Day Program in November 2014.

Commitment:

Attend 4 Quilting Bee dates between May and November. Each date will be 4 hours and each person attending will complete at least 2 blocks. These quilt blocks will be precut and very simple to sew—easy enough for a beginner. Then we will assemble the quilt during each Bee.

Not to worry if you’ve never sewn before—there will be experienced ladies to help and there are machines available if you do not own one. 

Since food goes along with everything in life, feel free to bring a snack to share. Please contact me through my webpage quiltingstudio.net or Facebook if you are interested in taking part.

Cost: $5 per block. Donations will be taken for finishing materials.

Vicky’s Quilting Studio will donate all of the Long-arm Quilting Services.

"SPRING" Table Quilt KIT

Hello Quilting Friends!

I have KITS available for this Spring Table Quilt. 

The finished size is 21 x 34 inches. All material for the top & bottom is included and precut--all you have to do is sew it together! It is a very simple pattern with some Applique and a Prairie Point border. The cost for the Kit is $35. If you are interested send me a FB message or contact me through my website quiltingstudio.net

Thursday's Kids Sewing Class

Thursday the Girls did an amazing job making an apron. Cailin made a masculine one for her Dad for Valentines Day while Katelyn & Layla made an adorable one for their self.

The Kits are $20 which includes all material for the quilt top. All applique pieces are pre-cut. Its a very easy and quick project.

February Kids Class-1st group

During our first February Kids Class we had 5 girls finish their projects. Lauren & Kate made their American Girl Doll a Sleeping Bag & Pillow while Miriam, Megan & Chloe made an adorable Apron.

January Kids Sewing Class

Well, a little snow doesn't stop these girls from sewing--just postponed a couple weeks :-)

Kate, Lauren & Ashlyn all finished their beautiful pillow and Lauren even started on a scrappy strip quilt.
