Quilting/Sewing Class Schedule--January-May

Hey there Quilting Friends! 

Here is the next five-months of Class Calendars. January 8th will be my last day teaching at RCAPS, I will be teaching MS English at Crossroads Charter Academy-- I have added a Saturday KIDS Class back into the calendar since I will not be able transport kids from RC anymore. As usual $20 per month which includes instruction, project, use of machine and snack. Adult Classes are usually $25-30 depending on project. Message me if you are interested in attending, classes fill up quick.

Megan worked on hand sewing her binding on one of her quilts, Anna S worked on a curtain that she will hang in her bedroom when finished, Nick made a great notebook holder and Anna & Olivia each made an adorable Jumbo Pin Cushion that I've decided that I need to make a dozen or so...too cute! Great job tonight

Honoring Our Military- Quilts

MILITARY QUILTS: This year we were able to donate 6 Quilts to local school districts to honor Veteran's during their Veteran's Day Programs. I'd like to personally thank every man and woman who has served, past and present...especially my two Son's who currently are serving in the US Navy--so proud of both!

December Class Update

Looking Ahead...
STARTING IN DECEMBER, I'm going back to Month-to-Month Kids Classed instead of paying in advance for 3 months-- It seemed to be more difficult with the Kids schedules. Class Fee is $20 each month which includes instruction, project material, use of machine and snack. I will post a calendar soon but here are the December dates and the PROJECT will be to make a Fabric Hot Chocolate Gift Bag which will include a Cup and package of Hot Chocolate & Marshmallows--Ready to give as a Christmas gift or enjoy for themselves. 

The Dates are:
Monday 12/7: Block of the Month 4:00-6:00
Tuesday 12/8: KIDS Class 4:00-6:00
Thursday 12/10: KIDS Class 4:00-6:00
Monday 12/14: Block of the Month 4:00-6:00
Tuesday 12/15: KIDS Class 4:00-6:00

Charity Sew--Children's Cuddle Quilt (Donated to WISE Women Shelter)

I will be hosting a "Charity Sew" at my Quilting Studio on 11/13 from 4:00-6:00. We will be working on small cuddle quilts to donate to the WISE Shelter in Big Rapids. Donation of $10 to help cover quilt expenses.

Today's Kids Classes--Great Pictures!

Great Banners, Awesome Yoga Pants & Headband for American Girl Dolls and even a Quilt for a stuffed dog! All of these were projects made today by these young ladies!

Seeing these kids learn and smile the entire time makes my heart happy!

American Sewing Expo 2015 was amazing!!

My trip to the American Sewing Expo in Novi was quite the experience! Over 10,000 people visited the Expo Center throughout the weekend. The class I taught was lots of fun. I met so many amazing women and can't wait until next year to meet up with them again. My mom (Rose) and Pal, Faye went with me and helped out---couldn't have managed without them. These pictures are of my classroom where I taught, my students picking out door prizes, my "Booth", my mom checking out the Serger that I ended up buying as a gift to myself and a woman dressed up in a beautiful costume that she made herself. There were Fashion Shows all weekend and Sunday was a Costume Fashion Show.--"sew" much fun, can't wait until next year. If you haven't attended this event, mark your calendars for next September!

KIDS "Doll Fashion" Class

October's Doll Fashion Class is Wednesday, October 28th from 4:00-6:00. Please message me if your child is interested in attending. If you are a new student the cost is $22.50 which which covers the cost of instruction, use of machine, project material and snack.

Adult Class- Thursday, October 22 6:00-7:00
Wine Gift Bag with Coasters. $20 covers the project Kit and use of sewing machine. Please message me if you are interested in registering for class. Several fabric choices to choose from.
